Emergency Appeal : Help us build a new Measles Isolation Ward
Since January 2025, the number of measles cases in Northern Laos has continuously surged, and our hospital has been hit the hardest. We urgently need to build a new isolation ward to cope with the rising numbers, contain the outbreak and protect vulnerable children.
We Need Your Help Now
Right now, we're borrowing space from Luang Prabang Provincial Hospital, but we are in high-pressure to return it as they need the space back.
We urgently need to build our own isolation ward on our hospital grounds. This outbreak has already strained our limited resources to the breaking point.
To build a 10-bed isolation ward will cost $16,000 USD
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go towards the cost of building this new new unit.

Beyond the Crisis: A Long-Term Vision
When the measles outbreak has been contained, we plan to convert this isolation ward into a Cancer Unit, where children can receive cancer treatment for the first time in northern Laos. We plan to have this facility in time for the arrival of our specialist pediatrician, Dr. Dorkeo, who is currently training to become a Haemato-Oncologist.
