The Run for Children is our flagship annual campaign, uniting thousands of runners and supporters from around the globe to raise vital funds for Lao Friends Hospital for Children.

Luang Prabang Half Marathon

A one-of-a-kind experience running through a UNESCO World Heritage town, passing temples and following the Mekong riverside streets while taking in the city’s history and culture.
Date: October 25, 2025 | Distances: 7km , 14km , 21km

Virtual Run

If you can’t be in Laos, you can still support the movement! The Virtual Run lets you join from anywhere in the world between October 20–27, 2025. Run, walk, or cycle solo or with friends, track your progress online, and or simply donate to raise funds to support children’s health.

  • The 10th Anniversary of Lao Friends Hospital for Children New York Gala

    May 20, 2025

    Almost 170 supporters and guests joined and enjoyed the festive evening with special performances by Carlton Moe and a fun, exciting auction by Christopher Henke. The history and current activities at the hospital were presented with a video. This year, Nerou Cheng was honored with the Best Friend of Friends Award for his unwavering dedication to our organization to improve the health of children in Cambodia and Laos.
