This series was first published in 1961 by Camera Art
Publications, Tokyo. It was the first series that brought
Hosoe recognition; before the others such as Barakei,
Kamaitachi and Embrace. The models for this series
were Tatsumi Hijikata, founder of the Butoh Dance
Troupe, and members of his group.
